On the News

I’m getting a little bugged with the news lately. First, it’s Trump and his separating kids from their parents at the border. How can you do that to children? How can you be so cruel? Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not for illegal immigration. If you want to come into the U.S. and live here you need to do it the right way. However, tearing families apart is not the right way. Especially when there are younger children involved.

Then I saw this morning on KDKA (a Pennsylvania News Station) about a protest about a teenage black boy being shot by police. They were screaming ‘Black Lives Matter!’ This can be a touchy subject to many people. I’m not saying that the boy’s life didn’t matter. I hope the family gets a full investigation from the police and gets what they deserve. However, it feels a bit racist screaming ‘Black Lives Matter!’ Don’t all lives matter? Don’t Asian lives matter? What about Spanish? Everyone’s life matters. Don’t just narrow it down to one race.

So yeah, that’s my rant. If you disagree that’s fine, if you agree that’s fine. I’m not trying to offend anyone.

Have you ever just wanted to smack someone?

Yesterday I saw on The Talk, about this 30-year-old asshole, who is a father and is being evicted from his parents house. He doesn’t have a job and is badmouthing his parents. You’re 30 years old and have a fucking child! You’re also trying to use the government to pay for your court fees to get custody of your child when you don’t even have a damned job! Who the hell would award a guy like that custody of that child?! Get a fucking job and contribute to the world!

The reason this pisses me off is because he isn’t disabled and he has no reason not to get a job. I live with my parents and yes I am 35, almost 36 in June, but I have a part-time job and help contribute to the household. I am legally disabled. It makes me very unhappy if I don’t have a job. I get really depressed. So this asshole needs to get his ass a job and suck it up. He’s 30 years old and should be out on his own. He’s not his parents responsibility anymore.

Anyway, that’s my vent for the day.

Las Vegas

Today is a very sad day because of the Las Vegas tragedy. I just don’t know what is going on with the world. The gunman apparently had no mental issues or wasn’t affiliated with any religious group that we know of. He was a normal guy from what the news tells us. Yet he fired on thousands of people, killing some and wounding others. I am just totally confused and don’t get it. I don’t get why someone would do this to people. Why? This makes me doubt my fellow man sometimes. Was he depressed? Could this have been prevented? Prayers to all the families involved. I hope I don’t hear anything worse in the morning. Good night.

Remembering 9/11

9/11/2001 was a very difficult day for us as a country. What happened should never have happened to anyone. It was an example of hatred and what hatred can do to others. I know we will never be able to stop hatred in this world. But I pray that people see through differences and see our similarities. If terrorism and hatred is what you want to leave in this world, think again, America will always fight back till the last breath.

Sick of the racism and hatred

This has been on my mind for a long while. Since before the Charlottesville attacks. I’m just going to go ahead and say it, ‘I’m sick of racism and hatred being spread through our country.’ But people might mistake me for a racist at times. I don’t like to narrow down on races. Like if there is a ‘Black Lives Matter’ rally, yes they do, but why can’t it be ‘All Lives Matter’ rally instead. I have my right to my opinion okay. I’m not trying to say that black people don’t deserve to have rallies and such, but we as a country need to come together and focus not on race or the color of our skins, but on love and the persons within. We need to focus on forcing out the hate within the country that has been buried so deep in it. I found a website called Southern Poverty Law Center. The link lead you to some information about some extremist groups. I just thought that overall it is a really interesting site and it helps in combating hate. But that is my thoughts for now. Talk soon.

A busy day

It’s been a busy day for me in several ways. I cooked supper, which I haven’t done for a while. I followed a recipe from a Weight Watchers book. Mom, Dad, and I are watching our food intake. So we decided to try this Chinese Noodle Soup. It was really good. It had ginger, cabbage, chicken broth, carrots, pork, udon noodles (my idea, it was supposed to have italian thin noodles), green onions, and spinach. It was really good. The udon noodles I got from a package. They weren’t dry. However, you can find them in an isle. I’ll try to get the recipe and post it on this or my Change for a life blog.

Besides that, I watched the Kentucky Derby. Loved watching it. I’m hoping to go to it next year. It’s something I have been wanting to do with my parents before they die and myself of course. I loved the hats and the funny suits. I just was so impatient that they waited so long to play My Old Kentucky Home (think that’s the right song). I loved it though.

I did delete my twitter account and created a new facebook account by the way. Just to let you know.

So that’s it for now. Talk soon.

My thoughts on Trump

Hello everyone,

Well, I don’t know about you, but today was not my favorite day. I’m not exactly happy that Trump was elected and that he is our president, but I am not going to try to get him kicked out just yet. He hasn’t done anything yet to deserve that. I’m still not with the wall idea, but I do want to give him a chance. Let’s see what he can do before we try impeaching him. We might find that he does bring a change to America that has been needed for a long time. I’m not judging him yet. So we’ll see. That’s my thoughts.
